Persie's 5-year-old son to train with Arsenal

London, Jan.20 (ANI): Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie's five-year-old son is set to start training with the Gunners.

The Dutch star revealed that Gunners youth coaches are taking a close look at little Shaqueel.

The Sun quoted Robin, 28,as saying: "It's not as serious as Arsenal wanting to sign him, the club just gave us the option to have a look because they've heard about him."

"We have the option to take him for an extra session a week at Arsenal and we're thinking about it. I might bring him along to see whether he likes it," he added.

"He's doing well and has good timing but, like any kid of his age, he enjoys a lot of different things," said Robin.

"He plays in a team with school friends and is lucky to have a good coach. Those kids have so much fun, and I don't really want to take him away from all that," he added.

Robin is married to Bouchra and also has a daughter named Dina. (ANI)
