Confident Warner 'fine' to play against India despite despite dizzy spells

Islamabad, Wed, 18 Jan 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Jan 18 (ANI): Australian opener Dave Warner believes he should be fine to play in next week's fourth Test in Adelaide against India despite some worrying dizzy spells.

The left-hander batsman was hit in the head during his stunning 180 in Australia's first innings against India in Perth last week and has suffered moments of grogginess in the past few days.

However, he is confident that he will be fine to line up at the Adelaide Oval when the fourth Test begins on Tuesday.

"I think I'm over it," The Age quoted Warner, as saying.

"It's a day-by-day thing. I've got to speak to Alex (Kountouris, physiotherapist) about how I'm feeling. At the moment, I feel quite fine," he added.

Warner missed the Sydney Thunder's loss to the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League last night due to the dizziness, meaning he has only lined up once for the franchise this summer. (ANI)
