New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): The deadlock in Parliament over the 2G scam continued for the 21st working day on Friday, with the opposition remaining adamant on their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe.
Soon after Speaker Meira Kumar made obituary references to two former MPs Meghrajji and M Rajashekara Murthy, Opposition members mainly from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) walked into the well of the house shouting slogans in support of their demand.
Some members displayed placards of newspapers clippings on the scam.
A placard read "Desh me ghotala, videsh me apmaan, Yeh dekho UPA ki shaan (Scam in the country, disrespect abroad, this is the achievement of UPA)".
This was a reference to the patting down of Indian Ambassador to US, Meera Shankar, by an American security agent at the Jackson - Evers International Airport in Mississippi,
Some placards referred to the Ratan Tata-Rajeev Chandrashekhar spat over NDA's Telecom policy.
As the din continued, Meira Kumar adjourned the house till 3.30 p.m.
The Rajya Sabha also witnessed similar scenes, forcing Chairman Hamid Ansari adjourn the house till 2.30.p.m.
The Winter Session of Parliament began on November 9 and has witnessed repeated adjournments over the opposition's insistence for a JPC probe into the 2G scam, even after A. Raja resigned as Communications and IT Minister. (ANI)
