Gorakhpur, Nov.23 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has said corruption is India's biggest problem and needs to be uprooted.
Speaking during the Bharat Swabhiman Yatra here, Baba Ramdev said corruption has created a hole in India's economy, and has further deepened the difference between the rich and the poor.
"Rupees 280 Lakh Crore Rupees is in the bank accounts of the corrupt politicians of our nation. What can be more shameful than this? On one hand, India is struggling with poverty and illiteracy, on the other hand Indian money being enjoyed by foriegn countries. The World Bank is working on Indian money," said Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev further added if the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh did not take action against corruption, the country would never forgive him.I hope he will take upon his responsibility as a Prime Minister and create history. If he does well and make history, people will remember him and if he doesn't do his job then the nation will never forgive him," said Baba Ramdev.
Commenting on the recent allegations by industrialist Ratan Tata of corruption and bribery prevailing in the Government, Baba Ramdev said in India corruption is a deep-rooted problem that exists at all levels.
"It is not about Ratan Tata, when Rahul Gandhi says that industrialists bribe to get their way. This fact is just not limited to the big industrialists; tell me one person in this country who gets his work done without bribing," said Baba Ramdev.
