Bangalore, Sept 25 (ANI/Business Wire India): Manipal Cure and Care (MCC), India's first Holistic Health and Wellness centre, has won the prestigious Golden Peacock Innovation Award 2008 for its contribution to health and wellness sector through innovation.
The Award was conferred to Manipal Care and Cure by Baroness Fhreela Flather, House of Lords and Dr.Ola Ullsten, Honorable Prime Minister of Sweden, in London on September 19 marking a global acknowledgement for company's endeavor to constantly innovate, thereby benefiting everyone.
Sharing the dice with them where Dr. Madhav Mehra, President, World Council for Corporate Governance, U.K. and C.B.Bhave, Chairman, SEBI. Dr.Sudarshan Rawat, Advisor - Radiology Services, Manipal Cure and Care received the award.
This year Manipal Care and Cure had a tough competition. In all, 353 applications were received by GP Secretariat, out of which 126 were short-listed, after critical scrutiny for final selection through 3-tier assessment process.

This year the golden peacock awards Jury was headed by Justice P.N. Bhagwati , former Chief Justice of India and Member UN Human Rights Commission and other Jury members include Justice M.N. Venkatchaliah, former Chief Justice of India, Dr Olivier Giscard d'Estaing , founder Chairman, INSEAD , France; Dr S. Z. Qasim, former Member Planning Commission, Dr V.K. Agnihotri , former Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Vinod Dhall, IAS, Chairman, Competition Commission of India along with many others. (ANI)
