Coimbatore, Oct.16 (ANI): After series of anonymous threat letters, phone calls and messages sent to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) supremo J. Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK cadres in rural Coimbatore has formed 'Black Cat' force a month ago to meet the challenge.
Jayalalithaa has been warned not to participate in the demonstration, which would take place in Madurai on Monday.
"The party activists of Coimbatore have formed a new force called 'Black Cats', in which the members are experts in karate, kung-fu, stick marshal arts, weightlifting and so on. The members are also recipients of many national awards. These people will undertake the security of one leader Amma (J. Jayalalithaa)," said S. P. Velumani, Coimbatore rural district secretary and Perur MLA.
"The group consists of 1000 people. The force will accompany Amma from the airport to the venue and will give her full proof security," he added.
Despite several complaints given to the police department, neither the Tamil Nadu police nor the government have taken any step to protect Jayalalitha. (ANI)
