Srinagar, Sep.13 (ANI): While the Cabinet Committee on Security met in the national capital to discuss turbulent situation in Kashmir, various incidents of stone pelting and torching of public and private property occurred on Monday.
Miscreants pelted stones at some places and set on fire a school BDO's Office, Court chamber, Tehsildar's official Vehicle and residence, social welfare office, Patwar office, besides two huts of Tourism Department in Tangmarg and a house and railway hut in Humhama area of Budgam district.
Police used tear smoke shells to disperse the agitating mob, and in the ensuing process three persons namely Zahoor Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Mujgund, Muzaffar Ahmad son of Abdul Rahim resident of Mujgund and Bilal Ahmad Tantray son of Abdul Rashid Tantray resident of Panznair, suffered injuries, who were later on shifted to JVC Hospital.
Stone pelting was also reported from KP road, Anantnag areas.
Earlier in the morning violent mob put on fire the Tyandale Biscoe School.
At Humhama, violent mob put on fire one Railway hut and an abandoned house belonging to minority community.
At Tangmarg again, the violent mob first resorted to heavy stone pelting on the security forces, which was retaliated.
Meanwhile, a police constable namely Divender Singh, who had earlier suffered grievous injuries in mob violence, passed away at a hospital here on Monday.
Ghulam Rasool Tantary, a resident of Gogoo Humhama, had been injured during stone pelting incident at Humhama after a large mob had assembled out side police station Budgam and resorted to heavy stone pelting on police station building. (ANI)
