Sopore (Jammu and Kashmir), June 1 (ANI): At least two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants were killed and an Army jawan was injured in an overnight encounter between the militants and security forces in Sopore town of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla District.
Police on Tuesday confirmed the death of the two militants.
The gun battle broke out at Lalid-Sopore during search operation, around 60 kilometres from Srinagar, last evening.
Earlier on Monday, the security forces killed four militants, believed to be foreigners, in the dense Hamam-Nardagan forests in Rafiabad, around 65 kilometres from Srinagar.
The security forces recovered four AK 47 rifles, an under barrel grenade launcher and other arms and ammunitions from the slain militants. (ANI)
