Nashik (Maharashtra), Apr 15 (ANI): Goods worth millions of rupees were destroyed in a fire that broke out in Berger Paint's warehouse in Maharashtra's Nashik District on Thursday.
According to police over 15 fire-tenders were rushed to the spot. The firemen struggled for two hours before they could bring it under control.
Presence of oil based paints in the ware house is suspected to have fuelled the fire.
The cause of the fire, however, is yet to be ascertained.
"The damage is expected to be around 50 lakhs ...Why the fire erupted is still unknown?" said Vikas Thackrey, a Fire Fighting Officer.
"More than 40 fire fighting soliders are engaged to douse fire. We wanted that the fire should not damage stock in the neighbouring spice godown. Due to the efforts of our men, we have been able to bring fire under control," Thackrey added. (ANI)
