Bhubaneswar, Mar 28 (ANI): The Orissa Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Sunday afternoon received an e-mail allegedly sent by Maoists that carried a threat to blow up Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's residence.
The mail also threatened to blow up other important establishments in the state.
According to a Orissa Government official, the mail threatened to give reply to each bullet those hit Kishanji and comrade Bikram.
The e-mail has also asked Patnaik to drop the plan to request for additional Central Forces to counter Naxal menace.
"Your happiness over getting additional force is temporary," the e-mail said.
"As soon as you launch joint special operation or 'Green Hunt', we will start attacks at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri simultaneously," the e-mail added.
The e-mail described police personnel as a "helpless lot" in the administrative set up and threatened to target corrupt bureaucrats.
The mailer claimed that Naxal's combat front, the People Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA), had successfully hacked Orissa Government's website.
It was speculated that the state secretariat, police commissioner's office, police headquarters in Cuttack, Orissa special armed police (OSAP) armoury, Orissa Computer Application Centre (OCAC), Grid Corporation of Orissa (GRIDCO), Nalco and Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) are on Naxal radar.
The state Government has increased the security cover of all these establishments.(ANI)
