Haridwar, Jan 27 (ANI): Lured by Hindu philosophy and beliefs, foreigners are visiting Kumbh Mela in order to gain an insight into the religion and its ideologies.
The holy men 'camping' presently at the Kumbh Mela and their makeshift ashrams have become the favourite spots for these foreigners.
"To preserve the Indian culture and to safeguard it we are preparing for this mela (fête).
We are trying to bring about a change in the thought process of the people across the world by changing their perspective; we are trying to lessen the anti-social activities and terrorism prevalent in the world through our approach," said Mahayogi Kapil Adwait.
For these foreigners, the experience of living in the proximity of these holy men and to get knowledge about life and its philosophies is a different experience altogether.
"I'm a devotee of Babaji, I'm making only what Babaji is saying. All my desires are being fulfilled by Babaji. This seva (service) is my desire," said Atmanaraji, a devotee from Russia.
The nearly four-month-long "Kumbh Mela" is held every 12 years.
Over 50 million people from India and abroad are expected to visit Haridwar over the next few months. (ANI)
