New Delhi, Dec 31 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Thursday accepted a petition filed by Vishal Yadav's lawyer that permits him to attend his sister's engagement ceremony on January 3, 2010.
A vacation bench comprising Justices Valmiki Mehta and V K Jain permitted the plea of Vishal, who was earlier granted five-hour custody parole to attend the function.
The vacation bench further said Vishal would attend the function on the same terms and conditions that were imposed by the court in its previous order.
Vishal Yadav is serving a life term in connection with the Nitish Katara murder case.
Vikas and Vishal had allegedly abducted Katara, the son of an IAS officer, from a marriage party in Ghaziabad on the intervening night of February 16-17, 2002.
The victim's body was later recovered from a village in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr District.
According to the prosecution, Katara, a business executive, was killed by the two accused, as they did not approve of their sister Bharti Yadav's growing proximity with him. (ANI)
