Thane (Maharashtra), Dec 17 (ANI): Trains on the central line in Mumbai have been delayed by over half-an-hour after three bogies of a local train derailed outside the Thane station early this morning.
"Around 5 in the morning, three bogies of an empty rail jumped off the track. Since it was empty, no one sustained any injuries. And the restoration work will be completed by 12.30," said A. K Jain, railway public relations officer.
Jain added that all local trains between Thane and suburban Mulund have been diverted to the fast track.
This is the fifth incident of train derailment in last two months reported from Maharashtra. (ANI)
