The fourth one-day international between Indian and Sri Lanka has been called off due to uninterrupted rain on Tuesday. The match will now be played on Wednesday on the reserve day.
On Tuesday afternoon, just before the start of play, it started raining heavily and eventually umpires have to suspend the match due to the dampness of the ground at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo.
Sri Lanka is in a must win situation after losing two consecutive games in which India lead the 5-ODI series 2-1 with two matches to play. India after losing the first one at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium registered a good come back by winning the next two.
Team Indian won the third match by 33 runs after posting a not so impressive total of 237/9 (50.0 overs) and then bowling out the Lankan for just 204 (49.0 overs).
Sri Lanka has a lot to work on considering its batting misery and at the same time batsmen like Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir need to regain their form soon to give an edge to India in the fourth match and wrap up the series.
