Karnal, Oct 4 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi urged the Haryana voters here on Sunday to vote for stability and development of the state.
Addressing a rally here, Sonia Gandhi said the UPA Government at the Centre has initiated the programme to wave off the loans of farmers and promised many such measures by the State Government also if voted back to power.
The 90 member Haryana Assembly will go to polls on October 13 along with Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh.
She also asserted that Congress party would make all efforts to mitigate the plight of farmers.
Sonia Gandhi also promised a separate women's university would be setup in the state if voted back to power.
State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Union Tourism Minister Kumari Selja and Union Minister of State for PMO, Prithviraj Chavan accompanied Sonia Gandhi during the rally. (ANI)
