Oct 25: Pakistan’s imbroglio seems to be never ending, as the latest to join the list is the Pakistani Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Manzoor Mughal, who was investigating the October 18 th bomb blast massacre that took the lives of more than hundred of people, relinquished from his post on Wednesday

Manzoor quitted from the post after a complaint was made from former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The party accused DIG Manzoor for his connection in Bhutto’s husband torment way back in 1999.

Earlier on 18 th of October Benazir escaped a bid on her life when she was rallying with her supporters in a truck. Two simultaneous explosions including a grenade blast and a fidayeen attack occurred near a truck carrying Bhutto and her party.

Pakistan’s Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema confirmed of Manzoors refrainment saying that Bhutto’s party demanded it.

Cheema said that the investigation into the blast has found some important clue while the DNA test of the head of the suspected suicide bombers found at the blast sites are still awaited which will give further insight into the case.

It is believed that Bhutto has demanded probe into the blast by foreign experts, which Cheema has denied saying that the Pakistani investigation agency is very much competent and that so far no help has been taken from America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Meanwhile a new investigator Saud Mirza, who is the Chief of Criminal Investigation at Karachi, is being appointed to carry on with the investigation. He will head the five-member team probing into the bomb blast.

Bhutto flew from Dubai to Pakistan to lead her party in January general elections, with thousands of her supporter thronged across the country at Karachi to give her a warm welcome.

Bhutto came with a dream to free her country from Military regime, as it is deprived of democracy, unemployment and freedom due to militancy. With tear in her eyes and a smile of joy accompanied her, when she landed in Pakistan.

It is believed that she had made enemies of Islamic militants by supporting U.S. and negotiating a political alliance with president Musharraf.

Benazir returned from her self imposed exile after a gap of 10 years, she spent that duration in Dubai and United Kingdom. She decided to return, after Musharraf granted her amnesty in corruption charges. She entered in a dialogue with Musharraf to make Pakistan a democratic Country.

After the attack she accused Islamic militants and Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI behind that gruesome attack. The attack was condemned across the world.

She visited the wounded people in hospital, which showed her fearless spirit to fight back with her enemies.
