Hyderabad, Sep 3 (ANI): Senior Congressman and Finance Minister in the Late Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy's Government, Konnijiti Rosaiah has been appointed as the caretaker Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Seventy-seven -year-old Rosaiah was overseeing the search operation for Chief Minster Reddy.
Rosaiah also has the distinction of being one of the longest serving state Finance Ministers in the country,
Rosaiah assumes temporary charge of governance in Andhra Pradesh, as the search operations have confirmed the death of Chief Minister Reddy in a chopper crash.
Reddy and four others bodies were found on top of Sreesailam Hill in the Nallamala forest area.
All five bodies will be brought to Kurnool for post mortem and medical examination and then will be airlifted to Hyderabad by 3 p.m.
Reddy was on his way to Chittooor when the chopper crashed in the Nallamala forest area on Wednesday morning due to bad weather.
The country witnessed one of the massive, and comprehensive, search operations for Reddy. (ANI)
