Vashist (Himachal Pradesh), Aug 11 (ANI): The foreign tourists made a beeline at villages of Himachal Pradesh to lull themselves into silence of natural greeneries.
Kasol, Barshani, Old Manali, and Vashisht are among the villages in Kullu valley becoming home to the overseas tourists.
"It is smaller than Manali but it is big enough to have some nice shops. Hot springs are also very good. I really like it," said Mathew, a tourist from England.
Tourists from various countries such as Germany, Italy, England and Israel like exploring the culture and tradition of the hill town.
Ilan, a tourist from Israel, who visited India for first time, enjoys her stay in the valley.
"This is my first time in India. I like this place. Especially people are very interesting," said Ilan, a tourist from Israel.
One such famous tourist spot is Vashist, which is six kilometres from Manali, located above Beas River. It is famous for hot water springs and ancients temples.
"Foreign tourists come and live here in large numbers. They find it nice here as it is away from the city. They come and relax here in villages. There are also hot water springs and temples. There is proper bathing facility for tourists to bathe in hot water," said Pritam, a resident.
Tourism is the mainstay of the region's economy. Known as "Valley of Gods", Kullu attracts thousands of tourists every year. By Hemant Chauhan (ANI)
