Kathua (J-K), June 16 (ANI): In order to ensure that the journey to the Amarnath cave shrine is smooth, several voluntary organisations have set up camps along the arduous route.
The camps are equipped with rest rooms and community kitchens.
Pilgrims said the arrangements were satisfactory.
"We are going to Amarnath. We faced no problem on the way. All arrangements are in place. Medicines are also available," said Rajendra Pal Sharma, a devotee.
Some community kitchens have doubled up as medical camps for the benefit of pilgrims.ocated in Jammu and Kashmir, the Amarnath caves shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. he main shrine is claimed to be over 5,000 years old.
The cave is situated at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,760 ft), about 141 km (88 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
